Sankhlaburi is based in a fairly remote area of Thailand. Although it is one of the most picturesque and beautiful towns in Thailand, it does face many environmental issues, one of which is the scarcity of clean water. At Starfish we are aware of this and with the help of our dedicated volunteers we have recently been able to install a new water tank at the children’s centre.
Our great volunteers have been also busy in Sangkhlaburi working on a variety of other building projects dedicated to helping the local communities in the area. They worked on a rebuilding and resurfacing a pond at a kindergarten school, by layering cement and smooth rocks around the walls. Further to this our volunteers were also involved with strengthening the foundations of buildings in the local children’s centre. We are extremely delighted that volunteers taking part in one of our childcare projects were more than happy to offer a helping hand later in the day to help get the job done even faster!

Great job guys! Your work here is going to help dozens of people in the community and the children’s centre.
